Hyvink?? is situated in the Uusimaa region of Southern Finland, about 50 km north of the capital Helsinki. The city covers an area of approximately 337 km² and is home to about 47,000 residents, with nearly 96% being native Finnish speakers. Hyvink?? is just a 40-minute drive from Helsinki Airport and is in close proximity to Finland’s largest cargo port.

Hyvink??’s industrial roots can be traced back to wool processing in the 19^th century. Today, the city houses many world-renowned companies such as Konecranes, a world leader in lifting equipment manufacturing, KONE Elevators, the world’s third-largest elevator and escalator manufacturer and supplier, and Saint-Gobain Building Materials, a fiberglass manufacturer.

Hyvink?? is advantageously situated within the Helsinki Ring of Industry, which is a top choice for business investments in the EU. Operating costs such as labor and taxes are significantly lower in Hyvink?? than in many other Nordic country capitals. In 2022, the city generated a tax revenue totaling EUR 240 million and had a per capita GDP of about EUR 56,000.
